Sligo Lions Club Motorbike Poker Run – Charity Fundraiser

On Sunday, 28th September 2025, the streets of Sligo will come alive with the roar of engines and the spirit of community as the Sligo Lions Club hosts its first Motorbike Poker Run. This unique charity event invites motorbike enthusiasts from near and far to take part in a scenic ride across the region, collecting cards at checkpoints along the way, with prizes awaiting the best hand at the finish.

But this isn’t just for riders. We welcome the public to join us at Queen Maeve’s Square, where dozens of gleaming machines will be on display. Families, friends, and bike lovers of all ages can meet the riders, enjoy the spectacle, and share in the excitement of the day.

Behind the fun lies a serious purpose. The Sligo Lions Club is built on the belief that ordinary people can achieve extraordinary things through volunteering. Every November, we host our Caring for Carers Weekend, offering a much-needed break to those who dedicate their lives to caring for loved ones at home. For over 30 years, our Christmas Food Appeal has supported families in need across County Sligo with vouchers and hampers. We also respond to international needs when called.

By taking part—whether riding, spectating, or simply donating—you’ll be helping us continue these vital projects. Join us for a day of community, charity, and chrome. Together, we can turn passion into impact.
